NUXE Rêve de Miel lip balm

I apologize in advance for the length of this post, I obviously had a lot to say about this beaut.

Going back to the basics in the lip department today, we’re talking lip balm on Etc. Beauty. A good lip balm is moisturizing (but of course…), light weight and long lasting. It shouldn’t show or feel too much on the lips, and it should ultimately make for a smooth application of an additional lip product of your choice. The Nuxe Rêve de Miel does all of the above, and more. The moisture in this pot is amazing; it really sinks in and works into the lips. The texture at first seems quite thick, but when applied in a thin layer (a little goes along way with this baby) it can’t be felt on the lips at all. If applied too heavy it does show on the lips, but as previously mentioned, you just need a smidgen.

The Rêve de Miel has become a part of my daily – and nightly – routine, and works perfectly as a base for any lipstick, gloss or stain. What makes this lip balm that extra bit luxurious is firstly the packaging; and by know we have established that I am a sucker for good packaging. The glass pot is heavy and matte, making it very luxy – even with it’s quite large and ugly plastic lid. The other factor that makes this baby worth it’s buck (more on this subject very soon) is the smell. It resembles a mixture of honey and citrus, not surprising as it contains both honey and grapefruit essence, as well as plant oils and shea butter. Yummy and nourishing.

Being a Nuxe product, this lip balm is natural and organic. Nuxe focuses on the natural and luxe aspects of products, and their philosophy is all about creating good products you can use without worry of chemicals and other nasty stuff. There is no wonder this lip balm has become a staple on most Must Buy when at a French Pharmacy lists in the beauty world. You can buy it at most Boots, but the price is a wee bit steep for a lip balm. I myself paid approx. £13, but that’s not something I like to dwell on, as you can get it for about £4 if you happen to be in France.Actually, you can get it for £6 on feelunique right now, hot tip!

All in all, this is a definite recommendation. If you have very dry lips it will save you, literally. And if you just want a nice moisture and a luxury lip balm, I don’t see why you shouldn’t indulge!
